Ocean Lovers Festival Manly 2026 with Friends of Bongin Bongin Bay

The 7th of March was a really special day for our community. Friends of Bongin Bongin Bay brought the Ocean Lovers Festival to Manly for the first time, and the response from the community was incredible!

In this video, our President Greg Pride and Steering Committee member Beata Edling share a recap of the day, the moments that stayed with us, and why events like this matter so much.

More than 200 people stopped by to say hello — from young kids experiencing the underwater environment through virtual reality for the very first time, to families learning about marine life and asking thoughtful questions about how we can protect it.

Being just a short walk from Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve made the day even more meaningful, because it shows what’s possible when a marine area is fully protected.

For us, the day wasn’t just about awareness. It was about connection. Conversations. Curiosity. And seeing how many people genuinely care about protecting our local coastline and the future of Bongin Bongin Bay.

If you love the ocean, care about the Northern Beaches, or simply want future generations to experience the same marine life we do today, we’d love you to watch, share, and stay connected with us.
